EA Sports Active is a hit

August 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment

ea sports activeIn a glum year for video game sales, fitness games are standing out.  EA announced that EA Sports Active sold 1.8 million copies since it was released in May, making it their best-selling Wii game ever.  This is a company known for “serious” sports games like the Madden football series and Tiger Woods PGA (which my husband likes to play on the Wii) but with the roaring success of Active, EA may start to stand for Exergaming Addicts!  An expansion pack for EA Sports Active is expected to be released this fall, at the expense of some tennis fans.

I don’t have EA Sports Active, but reviews at Amazon have been very positive.  For a trainer’s point of view, check out Sarah Rippel’s review at Outside The Box Training.  And finally, before you attempt the game, make sure you take the necessary precautions to protect your body piercings from flying nunchuck cords.  Safety First! :)
