Update on Zumba Fitness, the video game
An awful lot of people worldwide are eager for any news on when or how Zumba, the dance-aerobics franchise, will be translated into an exergame, judging by my blog hits. Last summer, the video game company Majesco said they were working on a Wii Zumba game. But that was before the motion-controller systems for Xbox and PS3 were developed. Now Majesco is announcing that they will introduce Zumba the game at next week’s E3 trade show, but left any mention of Wii out of the announcement:
Zumba Fitness® – Join the party! Bring the ultimate Zumba Fitness® experience home with the first interactive game based on the wildly successful fitness program. Zumba Fitness® pairs red hot international dance steps with sexy Latin and international rhythms to create an exhilarating fitness-party on your console that’s focused on the joy of movement. Follow Zumba instructor fan favorites Tanya Beardsley, Gina Grant and Zumba’s creator Beto as they guide you through 30 routines that will make you forget you are even exercising. Systems for Zumba Fitness® will be announced at E3.
Systems? Maybe Xbox and PS3 owners will get a chance to shake their boom-booms!
UPDATE: Amazon now has a page up for Zumba Fitness. They give a release date of October 19, a price of $40, and the systems are Wii and PS3.
